Thameside Mark Master Masons and Royal Ark Mariners came together for their regular meeting on Thursday 9 December at Orsett Masonic Centre. They were honoured with a visit from the Assistant Provincial Grand Master,
W. Bro Richard Goodwin and were all looking forward to a pleasant afternoon.
The Royal Ark Mariner Lodge took centre stage on the day with Installation of
Bro. Andy Wilkins by his predecessor W.Bro Patrick Southin. The Lodge was opened punctually by the Worshipful Commander and the Lodge welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro Richard Goodwin into their Ark.
After the customary agenda items, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master stood
and presented a Grand Lodge certificate to Bro. Stephen Ham who had been recently Elevated into the Lodge.
The Worshipful Commander then proceeded to install his successor
Bro. Andy Wilkins in a very nice Ceremony which was appreciated by all the brethren assembled. Having taken his rightful place, the newly installed Commander then Appointed and Installed his Officers for the ensuing year.
The Almoner and Charity Steward stood in turn and gave their reports, and the Lodge was then closed in due form.
It was noted by all the brethren that the new Worshipful Commander had done a sterling job during the meeting as he was suffering from considerable back pain throughout.
