W.Bro. Mark Reeve, APGM, visits The Mark of Love and Remembrance Royal Ark Mariner and Mark Lodges
The Mark of Love and Remembrance Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges held their regular meetings on Saturday, 8th February 2020 at the Rochford Masonic Hall. The Lodges were honoured by a visit from their APGM, W.Bro. Mark Reeve, escorted by W.Bro. Michael Howarth ProvAGDC.
In the Royal Ark Mariner, Bro. Vince Bull (the Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies) was installed as Commander (he is also looking forward to joining the EEC, 1044 Lodge next month!), the Ceremony being carried out by
W. Bro. Geoff Waddoups in an excellent manner, making the moment most memorable for the newly Installed Commander.
W. Bro. Pierre Waddoups delivered the Address to the Commander in an excellent manner to round off a thoroughly enjoyable Installation.
W. Bro. Reeve also presented Bro. Steve Hannabuss and Bro. Peter Murray with their Grand Lodge Certificates and congratulated them on becoming Royal Ark Mariners.
The Mark Lodge was opened and welcomed W. Bro. Reeve, APGM, in his official capacity. The Worshipful Master,
W.Bro. Peter Houghton carried out a double Advancement of Brothers David Ray and Tim Streeter. W. Bro. Vince Bull explained the signs, Bro. Kevin Bull presented the Working Tools and W. Bro. Pierre Waddoups carried out the final part of the Ceremony, all in an excellent manner. The Deacons, W. Bro. Pete Murray and Bro. Paul Palmer coped very well with the restrictions that necessarily arise when a ’double’ is being carried out, Bro. Paul Palmer did particularly well having only been a Mark Master Mason for two meetings. W. Bro. Mark Reeve presented Bro. Paul Palmer with his Grand Lodge Certificate and congratulated him on becoming a Mark Master Mason.
After the meeting finished the Brethren retired for customary "World Famous" buffet lunch as well as a fantastic cake made by Mrs Mary Waddoups which was presented to the newly installed Commander, adorned with several CCTV cameras to make
W. Bro. Vince feel like he was back at work.
In another particularly nice touch, two of the visitors, W. Bro’s Robin and Peter Hall, were both presented with cakes to mark their birthday on the following day.
