Provincial Grand Master visits Ambresbury Lodge, No. 834
The Provincial Grand Master was delighted to make an official visit to Ambresbury Mark Lodge, No. 834. Escorted by the Provincial Director of Ceremonies and attended by a large number of Acting Officers, R.W.Bro. Terry Sheern was received, in procession with his Acting Officers, and he took the Chair to briefly address the Brethren. He also introduced the Acting Officers to the Brethren, especially those newly appointed.
As an unexpected bonus, on presenting the Accounts to the Brethren, the Treasurer was delighted to announce that the Lodge was to donate £1,000 to the Essex Mark Welfare Fund and the PGM was honoured to receive the cheque and warmly thanked the Lodge in general for its' generosity.
The business of the evening was to Install W.Bro. Mark Balmforth as Master of the Lodge. On this occasion, a number of Acting Officers were delighted to assist in the Ceremony by occupying the Wardens Chairs and acting as Inner Guard. The Ceremony was enjoyed by all and aspects were carried out to a high standard.
The formal business of the Lodge having been completed, the PGM was able to hold in informal "question and answer session" of which a number of Lodge brethren availed themselves of the opportunity to speak to the PGM on various subjects.
All finally retired to a fine festive board before parting in harmony and peace.
