Talks of interest for Mark and RAM Meetings
Explanatory leaflets for Mark Meetings
Explanatory leaflets for Mark Meetings
Brethren all, it is a fact of life for some Lodges that not every meeting has a candidate for Advancement or Elevation. Whilst this is an excellent excuse to visit a nearby one that does, we are all aware than an empty meeting needs to be filled.
To that end, the Provincial Grand Master has had significant research commissioned into appropriate, informative and interesting subjects that can be delivered either by external speakers , or downloaded (see below), researched and delivered by members of your own Lodge.
The external speakers are all expert and competent in their field and their passion and ability will be evident in their delivery. All are experienced Freemasons of note and the subjects are both of interest and informative.
It is envisaged that competent Lodge members can learn (not off by heart!) the downloadable talk subjects and deliver them with confidence and interest. It also can lead to invitations being given out to friends from other Lodges; not all the external speakers are Mark Masons so some will be delivered after the Lodge is closed but this gives you the opportunity to invite potential candidates where appropriate. The PGM hopes that this will help stimulate interest and make empty meetings a more enjoyable evening and, in the early stages, where the Provincial Executive can help, they will. There is a list of the speakers and their subjects and duration below. Contact details and further information is held in the Members section or via the link below (password protected)
At the same time, leaflets for use during the Mark Degree are now prepared and will be available from PGL and beyond. In due course it is envisaged they may be downloadable from this website when more are needed. They are designed to be read both to the candidate outside the meeting and to the Lodge during the meeting at the appropriate point.
Please use these resources, there will be some (not always the most junior) who still have questions that need answers, so, lets all of us make our meetings as enjoyable, informative and accurate as we can and lets grow our numbers, after all there are thousands of Master Masons out there and you are members of their Craft Lodges too!
