Banner Dedication
On a warm and sunny afternoon in Frinton on Sea on Wednesday 18 May 2022, The Right Worshipful Brother Terence D. Sheern, Provincial Grand Master, accompanied by his Active Officers gathered at The Kirby Masonic Hall, Kirby Cross.
The agenda for the evening was to Dedicate the Banner of The Lodge of Naze Tower Lodge of Mark Master Masons, but prior to that, Naze Tower Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners were Installing their new Worshipful Commander.

A very healthy 53 Brethren gathered to support the Installation. W. Commander Keyte opened the Lodge, then called for a short period of reflection in memoriam of R.W.Bro Stephen Davison Assistant Grand Master.
W.Bro Richard Jones, took the chair at the invitation of the outgoing W.Commander. after requesting past Commanders to occupy the chairs of Senior, Junior Wardens with other Officers. The Commander Elect, Bro John Warwick was presented and those below the rank of Installed Commander were requested to withdraw, and the Installing Master declared a Duly Constituted Assembly of Installed Commanders, and John was installed in fine form.
The newly Installed Worshipful Commander, W.C John Warwick took up his position in the Chair and welcomed back the Naze Tower Brethren, and after receiving their greeting, invested them in their respective officer positions.
Normal business was then conducted prior to closing the Lodge.

The Lodge was swiftly turned around to facilitate the Dedication of the Naze Tower Mark Banner.
W.Bro Andy Sylvester opened the Lodge, and again observed a short period of silence in respect of R.W.Bro. Stephen Davison Assistant Grand Master and prepared for the entrance of the Right Worshipful Brother Terence D. Sheern, Provincial Grand Master.
The Gavel was offered to and accepted by the Prov.G.M. and he assumed the chair, he proceeded to invite the Provincial Officers to occupy various chairs. The Prov.G.M. was saluted with seven.
The Prov.G.M. invited the W.M. to retire from the Lodge with the Banner Escort.

The Oration was then presented by Geoff Newman regarding Banners and Naze Tower Banner in particular, it was excellently presented and warmly received by the brethren as an informative and interesting presentation.
The R.W.Bro. Terence D. Sheern Prov.G.M. assisted by the Acting Provincial Grand Chaplain W.Bro. Geoff Newman proceeded to Dedicate the Banner. The Oration was then presented by Geoff Newman regarding Banners and Naze Tower Banner in particular, it was excellently presented and warmly received by the brethren as an informative and interesting presentation.
The Banner was presented back to W.M. Andy Sylvester and following the Papal Benediction, the Banner was paraded before the brethren. Before being handed back permanently the Banner was placed in its stand in front of the proud Naze Tower Brethren.
The W.M. presented the Prov.G.M. with a cheque for £500 in favour of the MBF Festival 2030.
Naze Tower Lodge then proceeded to bestow honorary membership on the Prov.G.M and he was presented with a set of Lodge by-laws and informed that he would be tested on them during his next visit.
