Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Provincial Distribution
We are all aware of the government’s continued endeavours to provide PPE across 58,000 separate organisations, including care homes, pharmacies, and GP surgeries. Many of you will have also read about the exceptional efforts of some Freemasons using 3D printers to produce PPE in the form of full-face visors.
PPE Supplies from Mark Grand Lodge
Thanks to the ingenuity and benevolence of a member of the Mark Province of Kent,Grand Lodge is supporting an initiative to provide Provinces, wishing to participate, with a reasonable supply of full-face visors for onward distribution to those in need locally.
The member’s manufacturing business has designed a plastic injection mould capable of producing up to 2,500 plastic visors per week. Visors are currently being made and will shortly be available for shipping to Provinces.
Shipments will be flat-packed, consisting of:
▪ 100 plastic frames ▪ 100 PVC or PET 200-300 micron shield secured to frames by end users, simply snapping the two parts together (see Easy Assembly Guide). ▪ Easy Assembly Guide
The General Board hopes that Provinces will be able to make a meaningful impact in their local communities and with some of their key workers at this critical time. Provinces wishing to participate, take shipments and assist with distribution are requested to visit the link below and make an order request.
Initial demand is expected to be high so shipping requests will be fulfilled as quickly as possible. Repeat orders are invited after your initial delivery has been received.
