Resumption of Masonic Meetings and Guidance
Brethren, the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons has issued advice (jointly with UGLE) that the current suspension of Mark Meetings and activity is to end effective from 17th July.
Published below is both the joint statement as well as more specific guidance from our Grand Secretary, members are strongly advised to read them carefully. As the Grand Secretary says, this is not necessarily seen as a immediate resumption but rather the removal of the suspension so that individual Lodges and their members may resume meetings when it is both safe for them and safe at their meeting place. Secretaries are reminded that the provisions of Rules 122; 123; 124 & 125 of the Book of Constitutions (and the relevant equivalent for Royal Ark Mariner) apply at all times and meetings must be in conformity with those Rules.
The Provincial Grand Master is acutely aware that some brethren will still be unable or unwilling to expose themselves to any further risk of contracting Covid 19 and thus will be unable or reticent to attend meetings. This is completely understandable and sensible and he reiterates the advice from GLMMM that this is is a roadmap to resumption when safe to do so.
At all times the Provincial Grand Secretary is available for advice and guidance on resumption and to assist Lodges where there are proportionally large numbers of members unable to attend. At the same time (with a meeting of both the 1044 Lodges planned) the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies is looking at how our ritual, protocols and procedure may also need adapting and is available for advice at a local level as well.
Brethren are reminded that all current Government Guidelines and Advice must be adhered to at all times.
