Dear and Worshipful BrotherYou are cordially invited to the 2024 Provincial Officers Mess, which is to be held on Friday 29 November 2024, and will be presided over by our Provincial Grand Junior Warden, W. Bro Andrew Hurrell.
The venue is, the Hutton Masonic Centre, Mount Avenue Hutton Essex. Drinks reception at 7.00pm, with dining set to commence at 7.30pm.
This prestigious annual event is open to all Mark, and Royal Ark Mariner, Grand and Provincial Grand Officers, both acting and past. The mess is an opportunity to socialise with your peers and brethren from around the Province in a relaxed friendly environment.
The evening consists of pre-dinner drinks, followed by a four course meal, during which I and my executive officers circulate around the tables, giving us an opportunity to meet and talk with as many of those attending as we can.

The evening is less formal than a festive board, there are a few wine takings, a short address by the Mess President followed by a response from myself, which includes the announcement of who will be next appointed as our Provincial Grand Senior and Junior Wardens as well as our nomination for the much coveted rank of Grand Steward.
The dress code is jacket and tie (no regalia). A table plan is prepared and a raffle is held.
