Prov.G.M. Response
New Hall '23

Thank you, John, for those kind and sincere comments in your toast and thank you all for your reception to them.
Brethren, over my eight years of office as Provincial Grand Master I have appointed and promoted a large number of Active Officers and to each and every one of you, present and past, I give my sincerest of thanks to you all for your performance of those duties and especially to those who so often and regularly accompanied me on my official visits.
I am also grateful for the effort made by our northern Lodges for coming together and supporting each other at the Cluster meetings we introduced.
To all of you who were involved in the Consecrations and Reponement of our newest Lodges, in the Banner and Bible dedications, thank you for your efforts, I believe we have had some fun on the way.
To the various Ceremonial and Administration teams who, over past eight years, have prepared and conducted all the official events and ceremonies we have done together, thank you for all your long hours of effort.
To all the media and web shop teams who have produced one of the best media programmes in the country, and most successful online shop and fund raising activities.
Also, especially, to my past and present DepPGM and Assistant PGMs for their help and support and hard work behind the scenes
Additionally, of course, to you all, brethren, for being there, supporting our Province, your Lodges and each other, you are all too wonderful for words.
Brethren, we have a marvellous Province, not just in Mark, but as a whole, a real fraternity and one which many other Provinces wish they had.
We have a Craft PGM who is a member of all the Companion Orders, we are so lucky to have his companionship and support in all of them.
We have also built a wonderful support relationship with the other Orders, again the envy of others, this can be seen by the numbers here today as well as their support and presence in the display hall.
Brethren if you have seen a display from one of the other Orders in which you are interested, I urge you to make contact and find out more, I’m in 17 orders and a member of three of Provinces and do my best to support them all; remember, the more you put in the more you get out.
As you know Brethren, I will not be able to attend next year’s meeting as I will be “in Purdah” as your new PGM beds himself in, but I promise to continue support the other Orders and look forward to joining you again in 2025.
Finally, Brethren, I hope you have enjoyed today; hopefully it’s been a special day for those appointed and promoted, it certainly has for me.
It is time for me to bow out but, before I go, I do truly, thank all involved in the organisation of today and for the support of the other Provinces and Heads of other Orders and, of course, especially to you all!
