Mark Awareness Event
Saturday 2 November 2024
Maldon Masonic Hall ~ Cromwell Hill ~ Maldon
The latest Mark Awareness Day took place on Saturday 2 November at Maldon Masonic Centre in the company of 13 non-Mark Masons & 24 Mark Men from the Province. After registration under the watchful eyes of W. Bro. David Hook, followed by enthusiastic & inquisitive chat, the 37 breakfasted on bacon & sausage rolls before making their way into the Temple.
Therein, they were greeted by the sight of a Temple laid-out for a regular meeting & the offices were soon filled by Mark Men eager to display the colour & splendour of our Order.

Presenting from the Degree, W. Bro’s David Wilson & John Drabble ‘walked’ the assembled Brethren through the Offices, History & Origins of Mark Masonry in a very interesting format & afterwards took questions from the interested Brethren on the Order in general. Also in attendance, Assistant Provincial Grand Master’s W. Bro’s John Stannard and Geoff Newman added to the occasion as well as the current Presiding Master of Tudor Mark Lodge and the Provincial Almoner, W. Bro. Roy Kaye, and the Provincial Grand Secretary W. Bro. Rob Sandy.
These events are a great way to introduce members to the Order by doing so in an informative yet relaxed and dare I say ‘Friendly’ way which was proven by a flurry of activity in the bar afterwards as many of those attended showed interest in Advancement and completed their forms! In anticipation, we welcome you to the Friendly Degree!
