Friday the 6 June saw the inaugural meeting of the Essex branch of the Diamond Geezers lunch club. The original Diamond Geezers was establish in the Province of London and one of the original Founders R.W. Bro David Ashbolt, Past P.G.M for London was invited as a special guest to our first lunch so he could present the special diamond geezers ties which he had kindly donated.
The Essex branch of the club was suggested and organised by R. W. Bro Terry Sheern with the full support of the Provincial Grand Master R. W. Bro John Finlay.
The Lunch club is open to all Essex mark men who have achieved diamond status for their MBF contributions towards the 2030 festival.
The lunch took place at Mark Masons Hall in their fabulous first floor dining room and consisted of Champagne and canapés followed by 6 wonderful courses consisting of Lobster Thermidor, Beef Carpaccio, Vodka & Lemon Sorbet, Dover Sole Meuniere (off the bone) Roasted Baby Potatoes, medley of vegetables and Tartare sauce, Sour cherry crepes with sour cream ice cream, English cheeses, port, coffee, petit fours.
