Forest of Waltham RAM and Mark Lodges No.1444
Saturday 16 November 2024
Harlow
On Saturday 16 November a number of the current Active Officers accompanied the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. John Finlay on an official visit to both the Royal Ark Mariner and Mark Master Masons Forest of Waltham Lodges at Harlow.
The Harlow Masonic Hall had recently been flooded by a deluge, and the builders had almost completed the refurbishments. The Murals in the West of the Temple having been painted by Bro. Paul Swinge certainly created many talking points during the visit.

John Finlay, Provincial Grand Master, along with his numerous escorting officers were welcomed into the Mark meeting and having been offered and accepted the gavel continued by introducing all of the escorting officers followed by a few ‘Parish Notices’ before handing the gavel back to the WM.

During the ‘Risings’, the Provincial Grand Master was presented with a large cheque towards the Zipline Challenge in aid of the fund raising towards the 2030 Festival.
In responding, our Prov.G.M made mention of numerous points to do with Charity, the M.B.F, Festival 2030 and fund raising.
He concluded by awarding both W.Bro.’s Terry Nixon and Steve McConnell with their M.B.F Collarettes and Certificates. |
It was also good to note that although this Mark Lodge does not have many members, they have at least four (there may be more) coming through and taking office.
Afterwards at the Festive Board, we were treated to a superb dinner, great friendship and lively conversation.
Forest of Waltham members – thanks for inviting us, pleased invite us again.
